Least action in a star wars movie but entertaining - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Reviews
First of all we all know that george lucas cannot write dialog, but we should forgive him because he makes up for that with awsome storylines.
This film takes place ten years after the phantom menice. Anakin is obi's 19-year-old apprentice, and Padma is a senator.
"There is an unrest in the galactic senate. Several thousand solar systems have declared their intentions to leave the republic.
This seperatist movement, under the mysterious leadership of Count Duku, has made difficult for the limited number of jedi knights to mantain peace and order in the galaxy.
Senator Amadala, the former Queen of Namboo, is returning to the galactic senate to vote on the critical issue of creating an army of the republic to assist the overwhelmed jedi."
That is the opening writing for this outstanding love story.

Not the best of the saga but still great - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Reviews
Attack of the Clones had everything that any Star Wars fan could ever want. It was full of intense battle scenes and had an excellent plot. We finally get to see Yoda show why he's the most powerful Jedi. The acting wasn't superb, but it still was over par. Episode II set up III extremely well, and I can't wait for Episode III.
Ok - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Reviews
IT IS NOT AS GOOD AS THE OLDER THREE MOVIES OR THE FIRST EPISODE. BUT EBERT AND ROPER AVE ONE THUMB UP AND ONE THUMB DOWN.BUT IT IS SOOOOOOOO COOL. DO YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN. I HOPE YOU DO. BUT EVERY ONE DOESN'T UNDER STAND WHY PADME LOOKS THE SAME AND ANAKIN LOOKS TEN YEARS OLDER. BUT HE IS SOOOOO CUTE BUT IN THE THIRD MOVIE HE IS HOT, YOU GO IN THE THEATER AND YOU GO OH MY GOD IS THE AIR CONDTIONING ON IT DOESN'T SEEM LIKE IT. I KNOW IT DOESN'T HELP BUT JUST PUTS THAT IT HELPS PLEASE. I'M BEGGING.
Star wars: episode ii - attack of the clones - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Reviews
Fans will be relieved to know that Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones improves upon its predecessor in almost every imaginable way. What that film lacked was a compelling plot but even that could be forgiven if Lucas had injected the proceedings with a palpable sense of suspense. It also lacked the personality and character of the first generation of stars and seemed strangely soulless, more like a show reel for Lucas' special effects company than an emotionally involving movie.
Here Lucas has remembered some of the things that made the first Star Wars sing. He has realised that spectacle is a poor substitute for story and that movie characters have some other purpose than modelling for the merchandising. In this instalment of the Star Wars legend, everything has been pumped up an extra notch. Instead of a dull tale about trade wars, we have political intrigue aplenty with assassination attempts, secret armies and covert coalitions. Instead of stilted clothes ponies posing as people, we have real characters who have remembered how to joke and smile and occasionally even cry. Above all else, we have romance as Lucas makes a clever play for the audience of teenage girls as well as guys by making an epic with emotion.
In this chapter, newcomer Hayden Christensen plays the pivotal role of Anakin Skywalker, now grown up and an apprentice Jedi Knight with ideas far beyond his station. He is called upon to protect Padme Amadala, the princess turned senator while Obi Wan Kenobi investigates rumours of a secret clone army that is being developed on a mysterious planet.
As Skywalker and eventually Darth Vader, Christensen is called upon to go deeper than any other actor in the series. He must make his transition from techno-brat to adolescent freedom-fighter plausible and he also has to lay the groundwork so he can make a believable descent into the dark side. He carries it off particularly well and suggests a range that will soon establish him as something more than the dude who plays Darth Vader in disguise. Similarly, Natalie Portman, who was left with nothing much to work with last time except an extravagant line of headdress, radiates here and manages to convey a playful sense of power as well as a certain vulnerability. The scenes between her and Hayden are surprisingly effective. And Ewan McGregor, who looked so uncomfortable consorting with green screens and imaginary characters as a young Obi Wan Kenobi, now appears to be having a fabulous time pretending to be Alec Guinness.
There are plenty of pay-offs for long-term fans with the introduction of a baby Boba Fett, the continuing involvement of R2D2 and C3PO and a suggestion that Yoda can kick butt along with all the other Jedi. Also the infamous Jar-Jar Binks, who was all but burnt in effigy by frustrated fans last time around, returns but in a noticeably reduced role.
Whatever doubts you may have had about the future of the series will leave you at the first sign of a light sabre and if anything, the film tries a little too hard to please with one too many video game-inspired thrill rides through the Skywalker Ranch. Still, Lucas has created his most exhilarating action sequences, yet with unbelievably rich chase and battle scenes that surpass anything the series has yet delivered. What's more, he has done more to expand the Star Wars universe literally with eye-popping new planets to visit and figuratively with an ear for characters as well as an eye for computer-enhanced carnage. Whatever transpires in this galaxy far, far away, it's safe to say that Lucas has once again tapped into both the excitement and spirituality of the first films and is once again feeling the force.

Star wars episode 2 - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Reviews
Awesome movie. Does not need improvement. The best part was the credits. This is the end of my review. Yes, this is definitely the end of my review.
A huge step towards the original trilogy - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Reviews
i was really looking forward to see this movie after the dissapointment of the TPM and my expectation werent high. I loved this movie but its still not as good as star wars, empire and Jedi
Not the best, not the worst - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Reviews
The Golden Rule: Don't listen to all the anti-prequel venom. These people are obsessive fanboys who can't rate a film subjectively. There's nothing wrong with the "acting"; it's all simply part of the restrained, professional characters. Admittedly, the're not as likable or warm as old friends like Han and Chewie; but these movies take place during a different era--One of grandiose senates and political intrigue.
Episode II's first half is a great noir-like detective story following Obi-Wan; unfortunately, it loses a little steam during the third act, as mindless action takes the forefront. Still, it's a great adventure movie wether you're a Star Wars fan or not.

Pitful. - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Reviews
Phantom menance started a new star wars and it was average. In came this one with bad story and acting. The direction was going no where and it was rushed like crazy. Too much CGI also killed this movie. Star Wars never really needed it but Lucas just thought he could bring the so called magic back with it. Overall, this movie is failure. Not even worth a rental.
Total waste of time - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Reviews
This is how dumb this movie is: There is a scene towards the end, where the jedis (about a dozen) have to fight hundreds, maybe even thousands of robots and guess what, not one jedi was shot. Let's get real. The scene was so silly and laughable, instead of putting excitement, it just provokes you to just shake your head, and yawn in disgust.
what a terribly dissapointing film.
Episode ii of the best saga ever! - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Reviews
Star Wars is the best saga ever. The story, music, special efects the hole new makebelive universe with the finest details. Every episode is a hole new world. Episode II is unique in it's own way. The first hour - the love theme the mystery, the second hour - Anakin's first step to becoming Vader, solving the mystery the great battles and the early end leaving half of the mystery to be solved in episode III. Therefore this film can't be compared to any other. I sugest you watch it and read the book more times than once to realy comprehend it!

A wonderful addition to the star wars saga - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Reviews
An instant classic. It's everything you would want in a star Wars film. The only problem is a the movie has a little bit of wooden acting and diolog. Other than that the film is perfect. The is good and the visuals are second to none. I love the great ground war at the end of the film. And Yoda kicks ass.

Yoda is bad ass - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Reviews

D - for dumb humor - Wedding Crashers Reviews
I am simply let down everytime I get talked into going to an american made comedy. Who's rating these comedy movies... post pubescent boys and girls? I guess if you think bare breasted women, stupid cliches' and just plain dumb writing is funny... more power to you. I'll stick to the foreign comedies, until Hollywood can produce something more funny than this type of garbage.

One of the best star wars - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Reviews
star wars episode 2 does not disapoint.the movie has awsome visual effect and has great light saber scenes.episode is not the best star wars but it gets the job done and it does nothing but makes the series better and it will go on to be one of the best series ever,
Enough cool stuff to be good! - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Reviews
The acting was very poor in the movie and the CGI effects still bother me, but this time Lucas gave me enough of what I came to see to make this one good! The villian of this movie returned to being suave and sophisticated like Vader, rather than being impish like Maul. There were light sabers wirling and blasters firing, enough to quench my appetite for the old days of Star Wars. The final capper, the Yoda fight scene make it all worth while! Good Movie! Thanks for giving us what we go to see, George!
Disgusting!!! - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Reviews
There is only one word to describe these Star Wars prequels and that word is "DISGUSTING". Episode I: The Phantom Menace had flat dialogue and too much special effects, "Clones" had horrendous dialogue and way too much special effects. Those love scenes between Anakin and Amidala were a unbearable. I dont know were George Lucas gets ideas for he's scripts but he seriously needs help. For example, during that fireplace scene between A and A, Anakin might of been trying to confess he's love, but I was busy trying to hang myself. The characters almost seem wooden, the dialogue is terrible, not to mention the plot is rediculous. Overall, I rate this one as one of the worst movies I have ever scene. A disgrace to the name of sci-fi.

A great sci-fi epic. - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Reviews
Being a gigantic fan of the Star Wars saga, I basically knew (from internet fan sites and forums) the storyline for Episode II for about five mouths before it's release in May. So I went into the theater knowing what to expect. And I got just that: a wonderful new edition to the Star Wars saga, filled with amazing special effects, a great story, and a handful of new planets, a movie that is arguably the best (or close second) of the saga.
I left the theater happy that George Lucas had proved all his critics wrong in they're ranting that he had ruined the saga with the prequels, but still thinking it wasn't as good as the originals.
As most hardcore Star Wars fans do, I went to see AOTC several times. And each time I grew to like the movie more and more, and by my fourth viewing, my opinion of the movie had drastically changed; it is now my favorite movie of the saga.
One of the many things I like about this movie, is the cinematography, (If you've read my review of The Lord of the Rings, you'll notice I really enjoy good cinematography.)
The best example is the opening scene with the Royal Starship flying through the planet Coruscant's foggy skies; the sound effects also add to the amazing scene.
Another example is a quick shot of the Lars homestead on Tatooine. Even though the shot is very short, it's reminiscent of a movie from the 40s or 50s.
Oh, and I can't forget the where most of the best shots come from: Kamino.
This all rain and water planet is one of the most amazing CGI environments I have ever seen in a film.
The most noticeable - and the most talked about - flaw of the film, would have to be the somewhat poorly written love story between Anakin and Padme. I didn't have too much of a problem with it, but Lucas should have made this decision; should the love story take up half/most of the film, or should it stay out of the way, much like Han and Leia's affair in The Empire Strikes Back. Lucas does not make this decision, instead letting the love make up about ? of the movie, enough to definitely be noticed, but not enough to effectively tell the love story the way it should have been told.
The other complaint that some critics have is that Episode II suffers some bad acting, mainly by Hyden Christinsen and Natalie Portman. I however do not share they're appraisal, Chritinsen's acting is superb, and though Natalie Portman has not given her best performance in either of the two Episodes she appeared in, she is still quite good in AOTC. The only complain I could possibly have about the acting is a bit of corny dialogue ("this party's over").
And now, to the directing...
I'll be the first to admit George Lucas is not the best director in Hollywood, that he is a much better storyteller. But he's still a very good director.
In an interview Lucas - or, as many fans jokingly call him; ye flannelled one - stated that he made the Star Wars films like silent movies, relying a lot on the visual aspect of the movie, and then having the dialogue act more as a musical score; an accompaniment to the main aspect (the visuals). So some of the dialogue in the saga is a little dry, but other then that, this style of filmmaking has worked wonderfully for Lucas. And it certainly did in Attack of the Clones.
Overall, Star Wars: Episode II, Attack of the Clones (long name) is an exquisite edition to the Star Wars saga, and one is left thinking: "If Episode III is better then this, it's going to be the best Star Wars film ever made."
The force is strong with this one... - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Reviews
"Star Wars!" The name itself strikes interest in fans and the public. Just recently, I saw this movie on television. I knew about the bad press it had. But I decided to watch it anyway and found nothing wrong with it. Except, the actting. People sometimes judge a box by it's cover, same with movies. What I'm trying to say is, don't listen to any press, until you have seen the movie. That's when you know for sure, that either they are right or wrong.
Anyway, "Attack of the Clones" is a good movie, whose visuals makes "The Matrix Revolution" look like a student film. Overall, see the fifth installment of the "Star Wars" saga. I just hope the third gets four stars.
The most underated star wars film!!! - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Reviews
Georage Lucas is brilliant he's actually pulling surprises out of a story that the fans pretty much thought they had figured out, several people thought Annikan may turn to the dark side in this film instead there was a wedding. Thw acting is extremly underated everyone I thought was good I will admit Jar-Jar is a joke but Hayden did a good job in a difficult role to play. The visuals are great the story was solid and Lucas did anouther good job Directing!

Bad anakin - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Reviews
Hayden Christensen was a bad choice for Anakin, for one simple reason, he can't act. Look at his films, he brought this from great to very good, and he killed Shattered Glass, which would have been a great movie, but that ended up barly watchable. I do have to say it has the best fight seens ever.
The other star wars films were better. - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Reviews
Attack of the Clones is the second movie in the Star Wars saga, but it still sucks. I'll admit it has some great action scenes, but the story wasn't all that good. In no way does this movie or The Phantom Menace compare with the three original movies: Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi. Will I go see Episode 3 right away? Probably not, but the sooner I see it, the sooner I can say it sucks.
Who is true star wars fans and who's not - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Reviews
I THINK THE MOVIE WAS GREAT LUCAS HAS DONE THE MOVIE THE WAY HE SAID HE WOULD ANYONE WHO THINKS THE MOVIE SUCKS ARE NOT TRUE STAR WARS FANS IF YOU ARE A TRUE FAN YOU WOULDN'T PUT THE MOVIES DOWN LUCAS ALSO SAID IT WAS THE BACK STORY OF ANAKIN SKYWALKER'S LIFE BEFORE DARTH VADER I THINK EPISODE 3 WILL BE THE CHANGE OVER TO DARTH VADER WHICH WILL BE INTERESTING TO SEE HOW IT HAPPEN CAN'T WAIT TILL IT COMES OUT

The clones are coming. - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Reviews
An attempt on the life of Senator Padmé ¬eads to Jedi knights Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker being assigned to protect her. Further information on the assassin leads Obi-Wan to travel to a distant constellation while Anakin and Padmé §o undercover to travel to her home planet for safety. While Anakin and Padmé ¢egin to fall for each other, Obi-Wan discovers a factory planet producing a clone army for the Republic. With events appearing to be being controlled by powerful external sources the Jedi's find themselves faced with a battle against a further force within the Trade Federation.
Basically think of all the areas where the Phantom Menace failed and write them all down ? too dry plotwise, too childish, no comedy or fun, poor characters, no drive, Jar Jar Binks! Now cross them all out because Lucas has managed to correct them all with this masterful film that sees a return to the values of the original series.
Where the original Star Wars films got darker with the second instalment so to does Attack of the Clones. This dark element comes through in many ways. Mainly we have Anakin's shift towards the dark side as he begins to wander from the code of the Jedi by displaying anger, arrogance, impatience, lust. His descent into violence due to personal circumstances marks a dark moment in the film. Also we have the Jedi beginning to lose power while the dark side continue to grow in influence. This makes the whole political sub-plot much better than Phantom Menace where it was dull and going somewhere but very slowly. Here you can see the strands come together as Darth Sidious continues to influence events with the help of Darth Tyranus. The fact that all the pieces are being to fall into place makes this even better ? we can see actions begin that cause the situation in Star Wars 4, and we have the beginnings to things that will see the downfall of the Jedi in episode 3.
However this dark edge is tempered by a new concept to those familiar with episode 1 ? FUN! The romance subplot helps to lighten the film and it doesn't slow it as the trailers suggested it may. Although the romance turns dark it makes for a nice contrast with Obi-Wan's more action story that occurs at the same time. The film is funny for two main reasons ? firstly Obi-Wan is allowed to be more relaxed and adventurous, and two ? the droid versions of Laurel & Hardy return in the shape of the ever great C3-P0 and R2-D2.
The effects are battles are better here too. They were good in Phantom Menace but here they are better for the simple reasons that a) the film involves the audience well and b) the dark edge to the film makes it less childish thrills and more genuine action and thrills. From the opening attempts on Padmé ´o the wonderful meteor field chase and the final battles (including some great light saber duels) this is all good. There are some minor downsides with the action ? yes it all looks good but some of it is a little silly. For example the `car' chase near the start sees our Jedi heroes falling through the sky for 30 odd seconds just to land on another vehicle with perfect timing?I know they have the force but that's pushing it isn't it? Likewise other bits just step over the limit of what is acceptable as `real' even in sci-fi. However these are minor complaints.
The performances and the characters have also all improved. MacGregor is better because he s allowed to have a character instead of a totally dry cut-out like episode 1. Likewise Anakin is much better here and Christensen really puts on a show ? at first simmering with arrogance but later letting rage and frustration become his master for the first time (problems ahead I suspect!).Lee and McDiarmid make very good puppet-masters, while Jackson clearly enjoys having more to do than in episode 1. Yoda is great and given the part he deserves while Smits is really underused but clearly is looking forward to greater responsibility in part 3. To continue the `cool bad guy' strand Morrison makes a cool Jango Fett ? as well as allowing the film to carry through the themes of parent hood and family ties through his son Boba. Unfortunately Jar Jar Binks is back in this?but he's only in it for a short time, but he is still annoying for that time. Happily the film shows that Binks is an idiot that causes way more trouble than he's worth. I won't reveal what Bink's contributes to ? but I almost felt sorry for him when I realised the consequences of his actions.
Personally the best thing about this film is the linkages are not only being made with the events of part 4 but they are now heavily up on screen. This is helped by Lucas giving the same sense of plot and fun to part 2 as with parts 4 and 5. For example we can now see Darth Vader being created behind Anakin's dark eyes. We have seen the beginnings of things that will be wheeled out in part 4 (I'm not telling!) and we have seen the first storm troopers and Empire spaceships begin to appear under the stewardship of the Republic. The most powerful moment of the film for me is near the end where massive events unfold before the watching Jedi council and the music smoothly moves into the dark Empire theme tune from part 4 ? showing clearly that this is one of the major leaps towards the breakdown of the Republic and the creation of the Empire. When this finished all I wanted to do was see part 3 ? I cannot wait!
If you like this movie, I also recommend: Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back, Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi, Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, Star Wars: Episode IV, Star Wars: Episode III, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.
The best star wars film ever - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Reviews
I half-expected it to be a bad movie, but it was much better than I could have imagined. But it still isn't any Matrix. The beginning was quite odd, but it got better.
Personally, my favorite star wars movie - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Reviews
I have read reviews, the bad reviews, mostly. Everyone seems to complain about Jar Jar Binks, when personally I have nothing against him. You need a complete moron in every movie, and Jar Jar is that moron. The special effects are so wonderful, I shoot anyone who says they suck, and the acting is above par. The story has a great love twist to it, and the director performed it well. Episode II is my favorite addition to the Star Wars saga.

Star wars rules - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Reviews
Can't wait for #3. It'll be phat! Actually, it'll be awesome! OK, it'll be great, but this movie is phat - sweet & neat. you betcha!
So many idiots so little time - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Reviews
Once again I have to defend a great movie against drooling idiots and wannabe intellectuals. Id like to take a few moments to expose the various critics of these new Star Wars movies for what they are...
A. "Intolerant 80's nostalgia episode 4,5,&6 jerk" (angry_seraph)
People like this are NOT true star wars fans. True star wars fans are the people that truly love everything that star wars is&was. Not all of us trekker fans love all the things that have happened to Star Trek over the years, but so be it. Ill use a word I hate to describe it: evolution.
In other words, people like this didnt honestly fall in love with star wars, they fell in love with the 80's and perhaps their childhood. I remember the first time I saw Empire. I remember the feeling I got when I saw the millenium falcon do that vertical spin to get into the giant asteroid on that big movie screen. With the way the camera moved, you felt like you were there (perhaps one of the best space\model shots ever filmed). Its a moment in my life, even though I was like 6, that Ill never forget.
People like this writing reviews like that are just silly. If they applied the same strict standards theyre hypocritically putting forth against the original movies, they would've hated them too.
You see Lucas had a breakthrough when he made star wars and indiana jones. The world had never seen moviemaking like this until Lucas did it. The first 3 episodes were basically one giant movie, and I believe myself, nostalgia jerk, and the rest of the world were blown away by this style of moviemaking, and since has been
immitated by the likes of Lord of the Rings. (Those clever devils!) So one thing these new movies face is the lack of shock value this movie format offered us back in the 80's which gave the star wars trilogy instant legendary status.
In a lot of ways, "nostalgia jerk" isnt a whole lot different from "braindead 90's special effects CGI jerk" who actually rips on 4,5,&6 calling it laughable for using puppets and models (which looked more real than some of the goofy CGI characters in 1,2,&3. You guys arent fooling anyone, neither of you are star wars fans. One is in love with the 80's, the other is in love with the CGI. Youve just been exposed!
This movies actual weakness?
A. Jango Fett, the whole thing was ridiculous what with Bobo shooting at Obiwan, and him cheering and laughing as his dad tried to take him out, absurd. And what was up with jango fett taking off his helemt? Especially in the arena scene!! Bobo Fett never took off his helmet in the original movies, so there was always a mystery behind him. They did that all wrong. Im glad Mace Windu killed him. Another thing I was waiting for was Windu and Dooku to square off, (2 of the best light saberers there ever was) and that never happened. Mention was also made of his "unaltered clone" (something that wasnt really addressed in 3) Jango Fett did more damage to clones as far as im concerned than Jar Jar couldve EVER done to phantom menace.
Even though clones did end negatively (btw so did Empire Strikes Back if you remember) and one of the worst CGI shots (empirial ships and storm troopers) I have ever seen in my life, it was still quite an intersting turn of events and progression in the life of Anakin and Obiwan and is forever cemented as Star Wars legend!
Cool movie - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Reviews

Worst movie of all-time - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Reviews
This Movie was the most boring piece of crap ever written and should have been scrapped. I liked all the other movies until this pile of you know what was made.
The franchise is dead. - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Reviews
george lucas, the god of sci-fi, needs to step down and hand over the reins for Star Wars III to someone else. this film was disappointing on most every level - boring dialogue, complicated plot lines, wooden acting...perhaps the only redeeming feature was the special effects, which were still lacking compared to the grandiose power of the original trilogy.
Pure garbage - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Reviews
this movie was terrible it shouldnt have been made. What utter crap! Wow i couldnt even stay up during this piece i would have rather went to see Gigli
The perfect star wars movie - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Reviews
it did everything right and took you to a galaxy far far away...two thumbs up for this one! The best scene in the film is when anakin learns his
Great - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Reviews
I think that this part of the saga was good. The reason why I rated the story A- is because two things in it were really to romantic. I think that they tried to hide the love in the story a little to much. The reason why I rated the acting A- is because Hayden Christensen suckes as an actor but the rest of the people who played in it did a fantastic job. The derection was a great way to make you tie into episode III because if they ended the war in number II there would be no way they could do an episode III. I think that the visuals were really good on this movie. I have the dvd for this movie and they show a documentery on the special effects. So next time your looking for a good movie check out this movie.
Could've been great, instead was just good - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Reviews
The star wars saga is the greatest in film history, but episode 2 lacks the perfection of the other star wars movies to make it great. Hayden Christensen did a great job with his fight scenes, but i found his voice and comments annoying. He created too many awkward silences that just did not exist in the other movies. Also the beginning was a bit dragged out - making the whole coruscant scene shorter might have been a good idea.

We all know what hurt this film - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Reviews
The acting of Hayden Christensen was just terrible. The acting of the others like Portman,Jackson,McGregor was terrific. Honestly George Lucas could have found someone alot better. The only scenes he was good was the action scenes. I'll give him credit for that. But the movie overall was great. Any hardcore starwars fan would probley say the same thing even people who are not obsessed with it. It really brings that star wars feeling to you when all of the Jedi fight in the arena together. Especially when Yoda realeases his true power. People, if your really into action movies I would recommend buying or renting this film. It is very entertaining. As for Star wars Ep3, lets just hope for the best.
Oh yeah! - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Reviews
This is one of the best movies in the star wars saga :). Great visual effects, a little bit of humor, a lot of action, a great movie, this is so far the best movie in the star wars saga, we are just missing Episode III
Second best in the series close tie with first - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Reviews
This is a great film. It is a lot better than episode 1 and it does not disappoint. The fight scene with Yoda was great and the special effects and rest of the story is good too. The acting is ok but it is hard for actors to act in blue scenes and not sets. Not as good as Empire Strikes Back but a close tie with the first Star Wars movie and is better than return of the Jedi. Recaptures the meaning of fun - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Reviews
I have seen Star Wars:Episode II-Attack of the Clones 4 times now, and everytime I walk out shaking and feeling a million bucks! The visuals are excellent, especially the end Clone War battle. Sure maybe the acting isn't oscar-worthy, but thats not the reason we go to see these films. If every film could be as exciting as this, why would we leave the theater?
You are not true fans! - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Reviews
True fans of the Star Wars universe will appreciate everything that George Lucas has created. This is George Lucas's own creation devoid from conformity because these movies were thought up at the same time as the latter Episodes. So how can you be a true Star Wars Fan and not love Episode I and II. What many of you don't see is George Lucas with these precludes has had to show where each major character came from and he can not put you right in the middle of the action like Episodes IV,V and VI. Episode II was a phenomenal movie and will become a classic like the previous films.
Hearbreakingly awful... - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Reviews
Let me say first that I grew up on the original trilogy; I've probably watched it so many times I can tell you what will happen (and most of the dialogue) from scene to scene. However, with "Attack of the Clones" and its predecessor, "Phantom Menace", only huge amounts of denial and blind Lucas-worship would allow me to describe them as anything but total crap.
"Attack of the Clones" in particular depends almost entirely on special effects, along the way giving us probably the worst, most absurdly unimaginative dialogue ever filmed. A third grader could have written a better script. The absence of Liam Neeson--killed off in the first film--is tangible; not a single actress or actor in his film really shines as he did. Unlike "Phantom Menace", this film doesn't even have a redeeming showdown (wonderfully scored by John Williams's "Duel of the Fates"). What we're giving is a ridiculous overblown arena battle in which many Jedi are (convenient for Episode III) killed off, falling flat (and hard) because it's entirely unemotional and hugely computer-generated.
Lucas apparently didn't learn from Episode I that watching obviously computer-generated figures kill each other is like watching someone else play a video game. And--oh, yeah--the bad guy, an evil count (gimme a break!) isn't even introduced until near the end of the movie, and he doesn't ooze even a tenth as much menace as Darth Maul. On that note, I personally find it unbelievable that Obi-Wan could take Darth Maul, but not the count. Then you have the fact that the count escapes at the end, allowing this movie no closure whatsoever. The only really mitigating factor was Yoda--computer-generated, yes, but twice the actor as anyone else.
As much as I love Star Wars, I was tempted many times during this movie's unendurably flat dialogue and campy action sequences to get up and leave. I wish I had... I might have saved myself the feeling that I'd not only wasted a couple hours of my life, but squandered them on something that inevitably clouds my enjoyment of the rest of the Star Wars saga.
